Explore nature on a guided garden tour at the Flagstaff Arboretum.
This Arboretum is located off of a secluded road called Woody Mountain Road in southern Flagstaff. It has been open since 1981 and hosts several events throughout the year. The price of admission covers the cost of a one-hour guided garden tour where you will learn about the native plants and see some historic buildings within the arboretum. If you enjoy bird watching, they also offer bird walks on certain days in the early summer beginning at 7:30 am.
The Flagstaff Arboretum covers 200 acres and is open seasonally from May 1 to October 31 from 9 am to 4 pm Wednesday through Sunday. They allow leashed dogs in the outdoor spaces for a small fee. Feel free to walk around and admire the sculptural art pieces on display in the gardens or stop by for a picnic near the pollinator garden. This peaceful place will help you reconnect with nature and is a neat outdoor attraction in northern Arizona.
