Take a hike and explore this unique mountain range in Massachusetts.
Mount Holyoke Range State Park is located 30 minutes northeast of Springfield, Massachusetts. It encompasses 3,000 acres of wetlands and wooded areas in and around Mount Holyoke. One of the park's main features is the Seven Sisters rugged hiking trail. Mountain bikers are welcome to venture through the Serpentine or Roller Coaster trails. Other outdoor activities such as horseback riding, observing wildlife, and hunting are popular pastimes among visitors. Please note that leashed dogs are also allowed on the hiking trails.
Parking is free at this state park, and the public restrooms are available daily between 9 am and 4 pm. This is an excellent place to take a hike and enjoy views of Pioneer Valley, and this mountain range is unique because it runs east to west.
