Discover this historical park in Vermont featuring scenic hiking trails.
This gorgeous historic site is the only National Historical Park in Vermont. The name of the park honors Frederick Billings, who established a dairy farm and managed a forest here in the 1800s. This rustic park is positively stunning during the autumn months. Make sure to stop by the Billings Farm and Museum just across the road. You also do not want to miss the George Perkins Marsh Boyhood Home, also known as the Marsh-Billings House, the main historic landmark in the park.
Throughout the 643-acres, there are several scenic trails to explore and take beautiful photos. Seven different trails traverse the park, ranging from easy to difficult. The Faulkner Trail is under two miles long, but it leads to stunning views of the quaint town of Woodstock below. If you take the Pogue and South Peak Loop, it is a bit more strenuous, but it leads to a picturesque lake encircled by dense trees. Stop by this stunning historical park if you're driving through eastern Vermont.
