Visit one of the top parks in central Vermont.
Little River State Park is located in central Vermont, just off Interstate 89. This park features Waterbury Reservoir, and it is an excellent place for trout fishing, water sports, and kayaking. You can also enjoy miles of hiking and mountain biking trails here. As you explore the area, you may notice old gravesites, remnants of a mill, and old roads indicative of the settlement established here in the 1800s.
Camping season at this state park is from the end of May through mid-October. This state park features over 70 tent and RV sites, 20 lean-to sites, and five rentable cabins. Amenities include flushing toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and an RV dump station. There are no electric hookups available, but the campground can accommodate RVs. If you are interested in backpacking, Little River State Park also allows remote camping for groups of up to six people at a time.
