Enjoy a camping trip in eastern Vermont at Quechee State Park.
Quechee State Park is located in eastern Vermont off U.S. Highway 4. This area is where a wool mill, owned by the A.G. Dewey company, employed hundreds of locals in the late 1800s. The mill moved to New Hampshire in 1952 and soon afterward, Quechee State Park became an official state park. Here, you will see the Quechee Gorge, which was formed over 13,000 years ago by glacial activity.
This state park is open daily from 10 am to sunset. It features 45 campsites, many of which can accommodate RVs; however, there are no electric hookups available. Amenities include a dump station, coin-operated showers, flush toilets, a baseball field, horseshoe pits, a volleyball net, and a picnic area. Anglers can head to the Ottauquechee River to catch rainbow, brook, or brown trout. If you enjoy the great outdoors, Quechee State Park is a scenic place and wonderful option for a family outing or camping trip.
