Green River Reservoir State Park is located about 50 minutes north of Montpelier, Vermont. It features a 653-acre reservoir with 19 miles of undeveloped shoreline, perfect for fishing, bird watching, and canoeing during the day. Visitors must bring their own canoe or kayak; this state park does not offer on-site rental options. There are 27 remote tent campsites accessible via personal watercraft, and camping season at this state park begins at the end of May up until early October.
Camping rates are $28 per night for out-of-state visitors, and there is an additional $2 fee per night if you have a dog. The day-use areas are open daily from 10 AM to sunset. Entrance fees are $5 per adult and $2 for anyone ages 4 to 13. Please note that parking is very limited here, so arrive early to ensure you can enter the park.
