Spend a day biking this scenic trail in Vermont.
The Saxon Hill Bike Trail is located near the Winooski River in northwestern Vermont. It features a smooth single-track trail (Extendo) perfect for bikers of all ages. There are several other trails at Saxon Hill too, including FreeFall which has several jumps and obstacles ideal for more experienced bikers. The Outer Limits trail goes up and around the western edge of the trail system, eventually hooking up with the Out 'n Back Trail which features a lot of switchbacks.
Maintained by the Fellowship of the Wheel in Chittenden County, the Extendo bike trail is east of the parking lot, accessible via the Mid Flow Trail. Other beginner-level biking trails include the Mo Flow and Postal Route. The hardest biking trails are the Mojo, Boulder Jump, Pumptrack, and Outer Downhill trails at the easternmost section closest to Saxon Hill (965 feet high at its summit). If you love biking, head to the Saxon Hill Bike Trail with your friends and family.
