Fort Ticonderoga

Visit this living history museum in upstate New York.

Fort Ticonderoga is an 18th century battle fort near Lake Champlain. Visitors will see live actors in period costumes demonstrate how the soldiers made shoes, built boats, cared for livestock, built structures, and used tailoring skills in their daily life. They also have musket and cannon firing demonstrations daily at 11 am and 2 pm. If you're here during the summer, be sure to book a boat cruise for an unforgettable experience. The boat tours are 75-minutes long and the live narrator takes you on the Carillon and tells about the major events that occurred in this region.
