Take a trip to Bear's Den Falls in a secluded forest in Massachusetts.
Bear's Den is located in north-central Massachusetts. Here, you will find a lovely waterfall called Bear's Den Falls. Optimal viewing times for the falls are in the early spring (April and May) or in the fall (October and November). There is a 1/4-mile trail that forks, take the left fork and you will arrive at the falls. You can also hike back and take the right fork, which follows the stream and features rocky terrain and leads past the site of an old mill.
This cascading waterfall is scenic and offers a peaceful place to listen to the sounds of nature. There are no entrance fees and Bear's Den is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trails, as long as they behave themselves and aren't a nuisance to the wildlife. No matter your age, a trip to Bear's Den will not disappoint.
