Enjoy views of the Mispillion River and soak in the sounds of nature.
The Mispillion Riverwalk is located in the heart of Milford, Delaware. It is a mile long and is ideal for a peaceful stroll. This attraction is where the town hosts many of its annual festivals. The Bug & Bud Festival celebrates Arbor Day and has special ties to the state's official state bug, the ladybug. Local elementary students petitioned the legislature to make the ladybug the official state bug back in 1973. There is also a Ladybug Music Festival that features performances from local female artists and female-led bands.
Milford's largest outdoor festival is the annual Riverwalk Freedom Festival held on September 11, where all guests commemorate the 9/11 events. If you're here in the fall, they also have a fun Halloween Community Parade. The holiday season is a wonderful time to tour the Mispillion Riverwalk too. All of downtown is lit up with Christmas lights and features live entertainment. If you plan to stop by Milford, Delaware, this lovely riverwalk should definitely be one of the places you visit.
