Delmarva Discovery Museum

This museum helps visitors of all ages explore the natural world of the region around Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia through interactive and educational exhibits.

The Delmarva Discovery Museum can be found along the lovely Pocomoke River in Pocomoke City, Maryland. The museum was a car dealership once upon a time but is now a space for visitors of all ages to come explore and learn about the wonderful world we live in. The museum focuses on the nature that is found in the Delmarva Peninsula (eastern Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia). The museum is comprised of 16,000 square feet and it has an abundance of exhibits on display that help educate us about the nature and cultural history of this region.

The Delmarva Discovery Museum also hosts a number of private and public events and programs throughout the year for its visitors. The museum has historical artifacts, habitat displays with live animals such as turtles, river otters, and snakes, a children’s play area, and interactive exhibits that are especially fun for little ones. There is something here for everyone and there’s no question you’ll learn a thing or two before your time at the museum is up. The Delmarva Discovery Museum is open from Thursday to Saturday from 11 to 4 and Sunday from 11 to 3. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children doing self-guided tours and an extra $25 for groups that wish to have a guided tour.
