Hartman Reserve Nature Center is a reserve dedicated to teaching all people, especially youth, about preservation and nature through hands-on experiences. The Hartman Reserve Nature Center is a 340-acre wooded isle that offers many activities for visitors. This place has been around since 1976 and visitors may see such wildlife as birds, deer, otters, turkeys, woodpeckers, red-shouldered hawks, foxes, vultures, and bald eagles.
The Interpretive Center has various exhibits and displays that teach about the local environment. There is a paved parking lot and entrance trail with a great American Discovery Trail nearby. Outside of the Interpretive Center, visitors will find many trails. Some of the trails are paved and others are not. The trails offer an opportunity to interact with the local wildlife and the beautiful natural environment. You can explore the trails every day from sunrise to sunset. Come enjoy this amazing nature reserve and soak in the beauty of a diverse environment up close.
