Visit the historic home of the beloved American author Laura Ingalls Wilder.
The historic farmhouse of Laura Ingalls Wilder is located in Mansfield, Missouri. Rocky Ridge Farmhouse is the place that inspired the writing of "The Little House on the Prairie" series and is where she wrote these books. Over 30,000 visitors come here annually. Feel free to tour the farm, vegetable garden, Rose Wilder Lane Museum, and the Rock House while you are here.
At this historic location, fans and visitors can also see Laura's pa’s fiddle, Laura's writing desk, the beloved Little House on the Parrie manuscripts, personal belongings, items used by Laura and the Wilder family, restored furniture, tools, journals, and more. The Rocky Ridge Farm holds the largest collection of Wilder's personal historical artifacts. The museum and home are open for tours from March through mid-November. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. You can also stop by on Sunday between 12:30 pm and 5 pm.
