Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area is located just West of Pinnacle Mountain State Park in central Arkansas. This natural area was set apart to help conserve rare plant and animal species. It is a great place to explore the great outdoors, and visitors are welcome to hike, mountain bike, or rock climb during their visit. The shortest and easiest trail is Timber Trail, which begins near the front of the parking lot. Diamondback Trail is the next easiest trail within Rattlesnake Ridge. Follow the Mountain Boomer or Cliffbrake Trails if you're here for rock climbing.
This natural area is open daily from dawn to dusk; however, it may be closed during heavy rain. Be sure to exit before dark because they close the gates at sunset. The trails are pet-friendly, but please clean up after your dogs and keep them on a leash. If you're looking for a place to hike in central Arkansas, look no further than the Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area.
