Farnsworth Art Museum

This is a hidden gem in Rockland, Maine, featuring sculptures and paintings by renowned American artists with a focus on New England Artists. Maine art is very well represented within the museum. Don't miss the Elliott Porter photography exhibit, the Andrew Wyeth collection, and the artwork by Roy Lichtenstein. The museum has three floors to explore with exhibit rotation, awesome traveling exhibits, and community art events. Tickets are available in advance online. The Farnsworth art museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm. The staff is very knowledgeable and make the experience informative and enlightening. The gift shop is accessible from the street without museum admission if you want to purchase souvenirs. Active duty service members qualify for free admission.
