History comes alive inside Maine's Maritime Museum.
Learn about all things nautical at this delightful museum. Maine's maritime heritage and culture come to life with each of its amazing exhibits. Learn about the ice trade, what lighthouse life was like, and the history of Maine shipbuilding. You will also learn what sailing was like in the past. There are several model ships and shipyards to see. Take advantage of the different buildings as you explore the museum; each area has its own story to tell.
The 20-acre waterfront area is located in historic Bath, Maine. Some original and restored buildings are located on the property. The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and ready to answer any of your questions. Don't miss out on the boat tour while you're here. You may see a seal or even an eagle while you're out on the water. The museum is open daily year-round from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
