This center aims to teach the public about the wonderful natural world in the Adirondacks.
The Wild Center, located in Tupper Lake New York, is an ideal place to come learn about the wonderful natural world that exists within the Adirondack region. The Wild Center wants to inspire everyone that visits to see the beauty that’s present here and to take action when it comes to protecting and coexisting together. The center has science-based exhibits and holds an array of programs throughout the year so that the community can get as involved as possible.
There are indoor and outdoor exhibits to explore here at The Wild Center. There is the Wild Walk, which offers visitors a fantastic and unique perspective of the surrounding area, which is simply gorgeous and comprised of distant mountains and towering trees. Inside, patrons can stroll the various exhibits that discuss climate change and the nature found in the Adirondacks as well as see some of the species that The Wild Center takes care of, such as otters, porcupines, and reptiles. Outside, there are trails, an incredible fort structure built out of sticks, art installations, play areas, and waterways to have a relaxing canoe ride on. The center is open every day from 10 am until 5 pm. There are no shortages of fun and learning opportunities at The Wild Center!
