Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park is about an hour and a half west of Albany, New York. This is a scenic park encompassing over 200 acres of wooded areas, meadows, and two ponds. There is plenty of space and serenity for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors here. Popular activities include picnicking, camping, hiking, bird watching, and catch and release fishing. They have one rentable pavilion that accommodates up to $75 people. If you decide to visit during the winter, you can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.
Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park is open annually, from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, during daylight hours. The cottages are available from the end of May through early October if you are interested in an extended stay. They require a $200 refundable deposit upon check-in. You can have up to eight people in one cottage, and they provide glassware, pots, pans, and silverware. Please bring your own bedding and blankets if you plan to stay here.
