"The Niagara of Pennsylvania" is where you will find beautiful waterfalls that are nestled deep in the Pocono Mountains.
Bushkill Falls is located in Lehman Township, Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains on 300 acres of land with 8 waterfalls and about two miles of hiking trails. Bushkill Falls is privately owned by the Charles Peters Estate but is leased and operated by Aramark. There is a fee to get into the falls, please check out the website for current rates and conditions.
This is a great place to visit for all ages and hiking experiences as they have four trails from an extremely easy 15 min trail to a more avid hiker trail that spans 2 miles. The trails are very well maintained and the falls are beautiful. There are possibly two negatives about these falls; one being it feels very commercial as you must stay on the designated trails (they have railings), which leaves you feeling like you are standing in a line at an amusement park. The second negative is it gets extremely busy during weekends and holidays. Keep in mind Bushkill Falls is closed December through March and other times when the weather doesn't allow for safe hiking, so plan accordingly.
