Mountain Creek Water Park is just 47 miles from New York City in Vernon, New Jersey, and it features the largest water ride in the region known as the infamous Colorado River Ride. They have plenty of thrilling rides such as the Canyon Cliff, Thunder Run, and the Tarzan Swings. They also have the High Tide Wave Pool which has over 450,000 gallons of water that offers a perfect set of waves every 10 minutes. The water park is The Spray Ground, the Lost Island River, and The Hook, plus a multilevel interactive water play fort for kids that has water slides, spray cannons, water hoses, and a 'fishy' shower!
The park opens for the season in June, so be sure to check the website. Open daily from 11 am - 5 pm until Labor Day each year. They offer day tickets and season tickets, so check to see what works best for you, your family, or your group and enjoy this amazing, cool place!
