See how the colonial Dutch immigrants lived in the Hudson Valley.
The Crailo State Historic Site is located across the Hudson River from downtown Albany, New York. This historic site was once a working farm and it was built in the early 18th century. As time went on, the home was handed down and the family built new additions to Crailo. Later, the home became a boys' boarding school and even a church rectory, bringing with it slight changes to its appearance and structure.
This historic site is open seasonally from mid-May through October. It is open Wednesday through Sunday and tours are available from 11 am to 4 pm. Guided tours cost $5 per adult, $4 for seniors and students, and children 12 and under can enter for free. Guests can also learn about the 17th-century trade networks of the Dutch West India Company and about the family that built the Crailo by exploring the indoor exhibits while they're here. If you're interested in early American history, be sure to tour the Crailo State Historic Site in New York.
