See the architectural masterpiece known as Olana.
The Olana State Historic Site is located on the east bank of the Hudson River in Hudson, New York. Come and admire the beauty of the Olana building that was designed by Frederic Church. Guests can begin at the visitor center and walk around outside to see the house, small family cottage, and barn. On the west side of the park, there is a lake and a quarry. Along with taking a walk, geocaching is another fun activity to do at this historic site.
Guided hour-long tours of this historic site are available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 11 am and 3 pm. Please note that groups with 10 or more people must have advance reservations. Park access to Olana is available to all visitors daily from 8 am to sunset. Feel free to bring your furry friends with you, Olana allows leashed dogs on the park grounds. You can also walk to the edge of the park and head to the Rip Van Winkle bridge. On the other side of the bridge, you will find the Thomas Cole Historic Site.
