Located in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Craighead Forest Park is the perfect place for a day trip or an extended camping trip with friends and family. Within the park, you can enjoy Craighead Forest Lake, an ideal spot for fishing. The lake is stocked with bass, bream, crappie, and tilapia. You can either fish along the shore or on a boat; however, there is a strict "no wake" rule, and be aware that boats are allowed on the lake only during daytime hours. Feel free to bring your dogs with you on one of their hiking trails. A dog jumping pier is located within this park too, so they can cool off with you in the lake.

With hundreds of acres of land, this forested park is an ideal place to go camping. Craighead Forest Park is open year-round and features five tent sites near the edge of the lake, and 41 RV sites with fire rings, electrical and water hookups, plus a dump station. Toilets and showers are available for guests at the modern bathhouse. The Chat Trail circles the lake and is a great area to come and watch a sunrise or sunset. Any of the wooded trails nearby are great for everyone wanting to go mountain biking, ATVing, or horseback riding here.
