Have the time of your life at this lovely state park in Vermont.
Wilgus State Park is located on the border of Vermont and New Hampshire off of US Route 5. It is open from April 30 to the second Monday in October from 10 am to sunset. If you want to extend your stay, feel free to reserve a campsite or cabin. They offer 15 tent sites, 4 cabins, flush toilets, coin-operated showers, and picnic tables for visitors. Bring your fishing gear and fish for some trout, bullhead, or panfish while you're here. The day-use area also has a horseshoe pit and volleyball net for anyone wanting to enjoy activities on land.
This is a popular site for boating, canoeing, and kayaking since the Connecticut River cuts through the area. You can also hike the 1-mile loop Pinnacle Trail and explore the woods near the campsites. Leashed dogs (with current rabies shots) are allowed in Wilgus State Park. No matter your age, the great outdoors awaits here; stop by Wilgus State Park the next time you're in Vermont.
