See where Tillamook cheese and ice cream are made.
Located north of Tillamook, Oregon, the Tillamook Creamery is not a place to miss on your West Coast road trip. The factory has been open to visitors since 1966 and quickly became a popular spot for travelers and locals alike. Now, about 1 million people visit the factory annually. They offer samples of their world-famous cheeses, and 40 unique ice cream flavors served in delectable waffle cones.
If the goodies aren’t enough to get you there, a visit to the factory can be an interesting educational experience too. You can take a self-guided tour on the second floor to learn all about the cheese-making process. This is where you will watch firsthand from a bird’s eye view through the big windows as cheese is made, processed, and packaged while using the interactive touch-screen kiosks throughout the factory to learn more about what you are seeing. The Tillamook Creamery is fun for the whole family.
