Haystack Rock

Haystack Rock is a coastal rock formation located in Cannon Beach, Oregon, and has been featured in movies such as The Goonies and Kindergarten Cop. It is a striking and easily recognizable coastal feature that stands 235 feet tall. When the tide is low, this is a great spot to go tidepooling. Look for the tufted puffins and other seabirds if you're visiting between early spring and mid-summer. 

This place is part of a protected marine environment, so please do not disturb the creatures in the tidepools. Remember to take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, and never keep your back turned towards the ocean. Sneaker waves tend to come in when you least expect them.
