This beautiful Oregon coast city is home to Haystack Rock and Ecola State Park.
Cannon Beach is located southwest of Portland, Oregon, and is a quaint coastal town. This town has been named one of the top ten romantic coastal destinations in the United States. It has breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and has lots of different secluded beaches to explore. There are often extremely low tides in the area during the day, making it ideal for beach lovers. Please note that you may find baby seal pups resting on the shore. If you do see any, please do not disturb them.
There are plenty of vacation homes and luxury resorts to stay in at Cannon Beach. Be sure to visit the iconic Haystack Rock while you're here, it is a popular spot with several different tidepools. Watch your step when you view these tidepools and observe various sea creatures such as sea stars, anemones, crabs, snails, coral, and sea slugs. The spring and summer months provide the best low tides for you to view these tidepools.
