Come and learn more about the Lewis and Clark expedition.
The Lewis and Clark National Historical Park is where the Lewis and Clark expedition spent a winter, from December 1805 to March 1806, at Fort Clatsop. This is a historical site that is a point of success for the Lewis and Clark expedition. There is a visitor center at Fort Clatsop for guests to learn more about this expedition. You will find a replica of the buildings similar to those built by the people in the expedition.
In the park, there are all sorts of plants and wildlife that can be found. There also several different ecosystems here. These ecosystems include coastal dunes, estuarine mudflats, tidal marshes, temperate rainforests, and more. The plants and animals are just as diverse as the different ecosystems found in the park. More then 140 species of animals have been seen within the park. There is so much to discover in this historical park that it takes more than one day to get the full experience. This is a great area to visit while in Oregon.
