See an interactive raptor bird show just outside of the Grand Canyon.
Located half an hour away from the Grand Canyon's south rim, Raptor Ranch will open a new animal exhibit beginning July 1, 2021. The lively property features live falcon demonstrations featuring several bird species. It stands as a conservatory and rehabilitation center for falcons, providing educational classes on falconry care. In addition, classes on the sport of falconry are taught. Guests will get hands-on experience in learning how these creatures are trained. Safety is always observed in these classes. Along with demonstrations with the birds, visitors can reserve a campsite here. RVs and trailers are welcome, along with tent camping. There are electric, water, and sewer hook-ups on site, plus a camp store, laundromat, and fire rings located throughout.
Originally, the property featured a Flintstones-themed park called Bedrock City. This part of the property is still open. The long-standing attraction was rumored to be closed due to inactivity but was bought out by Raptor Ranch owners to maintain the tradition and heritage of the area. A cafe is also available with Flintstones-inspired dishes. Dinosaurs, flat rock structures, bulldozers, and other stone-age tools, as well as sculpted characters from the hit TV show, are found within the walls of this family-friendly pit stop.
