It provides stunning views of the Turnagain Arm, as well as the surrounding mountains and landscape. This location is easily accessible and there is no entrance fee. During different times of the year, you can see such birds as northern pintails, canvasback ducks, Canada geese, red-necked phalaropes, northern harriers, as well as horned and red-necked grebes. Eagles also frequent and nest in this area. Other bird species include gulls, Arctic terns, shorebirds such as yellowlegs, and occasionally trumpeter swans. It is a bird haven, but you can also discover creatures in the water and may be able to see moose in the distance if you're lucky. You can spend hours here just soaking in the beauty of it all and feel more connected with nature.
