This state park is on the outskirts of Denali National Park and offers spectacular views, wildlife encounters, and camping opportunities.
Denali State Park is a vast and gorgeous region of land that can be found in Trapper Creek, Alaska, on the east side of Denali National Park. This park is over 325,000 acres and provides visitors with some of the most phenomenal vistas and opportunities for outdoor adventure. There are alpine lakes to canoe in, marvelous trails to trek, and incredible wildlife to respectfully observe. The state park alone is about the size of half of the entire state of Rhode Island! You’ll have the ultimate view of Denali National Park as well as the Talkeetna and Alaska Mountains from certain areas within the park.
Denali State Park has campsites for those that want to explore over the course of a few days, and they’re equipped with bear-resistant food vessels, electric hookups, and hand pump water wells. The more south you are in the park, the more scenic it is regarding the landscapes, and the more north you go, you will likely be met with more wildlife experiences. Keep your eye out for moose, caribou, foxes, and bears. This state park is nothing short of extraordinary and you will undoubtedly be in complete awe of your surroundings and the extreme peace that the environment of this park delivers.
