Explore this remote beach in Kauai.
Polihale State Park is located on the western coast of Kauai, Hawaii. It is a secluded area with a beach, sand dunes, picnic tables, and stunning ocean views. In the summer, visitors can enjoy swimming in calm conditions. If the ocean seems too choppy, it is best not to risk it. There are strong currents on this part of the coast, so swim at your own risk. Anglers can fish from the shoreline if they'd like to test their luck.
This park is open daily from 5:30 am to 7:45 pm. It is in a remote area off a dirt road, which is prone to flooding when it is rainy. It has showers, tent campsites, and restrooms available. Please note that ATVs, pets, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. You are only allowed to walk on the beach, do not attempt to drive on it or in the sand dunes.
