Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge

The Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is located on the northern coast of Kauai, Hawaii. This place is a sanctuary for various wildlife such as Hawaiian native seabirds, spinner dolphins, monk seals, humpback whales, green sea turtles, and more. The optimal times to watch the whales from the shore are during their migration season, typically from November to March. Common birds that live here include the Laysan albatross, great frigatebird, the endangered Hawaiian goose, white-tailed tropicbird, and wandering tattler, among others. Along with wildlife observation, visitors can enjoy the area's luscious plant life like the Hawaiian rose and other colorful flora and fauna.

This scenic national wildlife refuge is a popular place for both locals and tourists. It encompasses nearly 200 acres of protected land where migratory birds and sea creatures can be undisturbed from humans.
