The Kōkeʻe State Park is located in northwestern Kauai in Hawaii. This area is ideal for hikers, campers, and picnickers. There are seven different trails to choose from, the easiest one to navigate is the Poomau Canyon Lookout Trail, which is less than half a mile long. If you're looking for a challenge, take the Nu'alolo Trail. It is about 4-miles long (one-way) and has an elevation gain of over 1,500 feet. Please note that there is a safety railing at the end of that trail and no one is allowed to go beyond that point.
This state park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. Entrance and parking fees are required for all out-of-state visitors. You could easily spend half a day or more at this Hawaii state park.
