Platte Creek Lodge and Guide Service is a hunter and angler's dream vacation. This lodge is located outside of Platte and close to the Missouri River. The river is full of walleye and smallmouth bass. Guides from the lodge take groups out fishing and know just where to find fish to catch. The guides also take the time to teach fishing skills when necessary. There are ice fishing packages too if you want to come during the winter. They make the trip comfortable and enjoyable and have all of the tools for any season.

The Platte Creek Lodge area has the most pheasants found in South Dakota and sits on over 4,000 acres of private hunting ground. Along with the guides, guests use the Kawasaki mule to get around through the fields, grasses, and forests with their hunting dogs. The Lodge is also a great place to stay if you are just passing through. Visitors are welcome even if you aren't taking a guided fishing or hunting trip. Platte Creek Lodge has 6 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and a total of 15 beds. There is a complete kitchen, high-speed internet, and satellite TV. The area is amazing and so beautiful, making it a great place to getaway.

While staying at the Lodge, guests can choose from 3 different dining options; Nova will cook the food for your group at the main lodge. There is not a set menu, but the food is always cooked fresh. Another option is for guests to do their own cooking within the fully stocked kitchen. The Platte Food Center has everything imaginable with a fresh meat counter, fruits, vegetables, and canned and frozen foods. The store even has a fresh bakery. The owners, Tom and Nova, make every guest feel like family and keep everyone comfortable. Nova takes care of the food and hospitality, and Tom is an excellent hunting guide.
