Experience an adventure at the sand dunes in Oklahoma.
Little Sahara State Park is a unique spot that has sand dunes ranging from 25 to 75 feet tall and over 1,600 acres of land to explore. Formed during prehistoric times when the Cimarron River flowed through the region, this park resembles a smaller version of the Sahara Desert. Visitors can ride on ATVs or dune buggies for a thrilling trip across the landscapes. The park offers RV sites that are equipped with water and electricity hookups if you want to extend your stay in this otherworldly place. Guests may also reserve tent sites and enjoy the picnic areas and grills. Showers are available here so you can wash away all the sand from your day’s adventure.
Little Sahara State Park is known for being one of the best ATV riding spots in the Midwest. It only costs $10 per driver and passenger per day, guests under 10 are free, and the dune riding areas are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Full coverage helmets are highly recommended for everyone riding on the dunes. You can bring your own vehicle; however, all guests must adhere to the park rules for safety. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm daily. Make your reservation online today to see what Little Sahara State Park is all about!
