Enjoy breathtaking views of the Missouri River near the border of South Dakota and Nebraska.
The Springfield State Recreation Area is located on the upper part of Lewis And Clark Lake. The nearby nine-hole golf course, Springfield Golf Course, overlooks the river. There is also a bike trail that connects the park to the town of Springfield. There are 20 campsites featuring modern amenities such as showers and flush toilets, a dump station, a playground, and picnic shelters.
Visitors often come for fishing and boating. The camp area has BBQ facilities, a playground, and a clubhouse/meeting room. Pets are welcome, and if needed, firewood is available too. The area is rural, peaceful, and quiet, making it ideal for campers that need to get away from the city. Call ahead to reserve cabins with bunk beds, double beds, a table, and benches. Heating, air-conditioning, and electricity are all included, and the cabins fit up to 4 people. Outside, there is a picnic table, fire pit, and a fire grate to cook meals over the fire.
