Botanic Wichita Garden is located in downtown Wichita, Kansas. It is easily accessible by the main highways and encompasses about 17 acres of beautifully crafted gardens. Some of the gardens include a Railroad Garden, Salley Store Sensory Garden, Butterfly House, Bird Garden, Children's Garden, and more. Botanic Wichita Garden is home to a rare Joyland Carousel. The Carousel features 36 restored horses and is fully accessible for everyone, including special needs individuals. The Carousel hours are 10 am to 5 pm. Free rides are available on Tuesday evenings with the purchase of a general admission ticket.
This botanical garden hosts events throughout the year, including Big Bug Tours, yoga, tulip bulb sale, a photo competition, party rentals, and carousel rentals. Extended hours apply from April to September (open till 8 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays), and the gardens are open year-round Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
