Take a camping trip to North Dakota at Turtle River State Park.
Turtle River State Park is located in northeastern North Dakota. It features over 12 miles of multi-use trails, shaded picnic areas, campsites, a playground, a visitor center, a lodge, a dump station, and showers. The shortest trail is Woodchuck Trail. a 0.2-mile-long path that follows beside the Turtle River. For a longer hiking adventure, try the Timber Loop, Moosehead Trail, Hollows, or Raven Ravine. This park is pet-friendly, but all dogs must remain on a leash.
Turtle River is regularly stocked with trout, so anglers can expect to at least get some bites as they fish along the river. Anyone wishing to camp here can book a cabin or campsite up to 95 days in advance. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is 3 pm on the last day of your reservation. Woodland Lodge is spacious enough to host family reunions of up to 100 people and features a full-service kitchen. If you are looking for a secluded place to camp in North Dakota, Turtle River State Park is one of the best places to go.
