Pattison State Park is just south of Superior, Wisconsin, and encompasses 1,436 acres of forested land. Native trees you may see include balsam fir, birch, aspen, and spruce. This gorgeous park also has wetlands, a lake, rivers, and the highest waterfall in Wisconsin. Big Manitou Falls is 165 feet tall, and you can also explore Little Manitou Falls, which is 30 feet high. Pattison State Park has 400 feet of sandy beach on Interfalls Lake, nine miles of hiking trails, 59 family campsites (18 of which have electric hookups), a dump station, showers, and flushing toilets.
Nearly 200 bird species and 54 species of mammals live at the park full-time. The Gitche Gumee Nature Center features many exhibits depicting the park's cultural and natural history. This nature center offers guided nature walks to visitors. Pets are welcome at the park but must be on a leash and under control at all times.
