Hike to a secluded 200-foot waterfall in Iowa.
Dunning's Spring Park is located in northeastern Iowa. It features a large waterfall, hiking trail, bridges, grills, picnic tables, and scenic overlooks. To get here, you have to park at the gravel lot on the southern end of the Ice Cave Road. You have to hike 200 yards north to reach Dunning's Spring Waterfall. If you want to venture further, head east from the parking lot to see the Ice Cave. This is a 1/2-mile hike (one-way) and is open to the public.
The gravel parking lot tends to fill up quickly in the summer, but you are allowed to park off to the side of the Ice Cave Road if the parking lot is full. If you love waterfalls, this should be on your list of places to see in the midwestern United States. Bring your friends and family to this park for a fun outing.
