Cypremort Point State Park is located south of Lafayette, Louisiana. It borders Vermillion Bay and West Cote Blanche Bay. This park is one of the few areas by the Gulf of Mexico that can be reached by car. Cypremort Point features a 1.5-mile beach, picnic tables, a boat launch, fishing pier, fish cleaning station, two reservable covered pavilions, six cabins, and a campground. The admission fee to visit this state park is $3 per person, and free for seniors (62+) and children ages 0 to 3.
They open the gate daily at 7 am and close at 10 pm. Be sure to leave the park before 10 pm, unless you have made camping reservations. Popular activities that visitors do here include fishing, swimming, picnicking, bird watching, and boating.
