Zoosiana

See over 1,000 wildlife creatures at this Louisiana zoo.

Zoosiana is located just south of Lafayette, Louisiana, in the southern part of the state. It features over 1,000 animals from around the world. This family-friendly attraction provides fun for all ages, and it is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Animals you will see include giraffes, white tigers, alligators, clouded leopards, macaws, ring-tailed lemurs, tortoises, and more. Along with watching the exotic wildlife creatures, Zoosiana has a petting zoo on site. Bring quarters to feed the donkeys, horses, pigs, goats, and other farm animals at the petting zoo. These animals will often eat right out of your hand if you let them.

General admission is $16 for adults, $10 for children, and free for children ages two and under. If your kids need a place to get their energy out, take them to the jungle lodge located by the Critter Cafe. There is also a giant dirt mound nearby where they can run and play to their heart's content.
