This is a beautiful beach park that is situated right on Lake Ontario.
Ontario Beach Park is a lovely spot in Rochester, New York that serves as the perfect place to enjoy warm summer days. There’s a nice pier that visitors can stroll on and a historic carousel that dates back to 1905 and still operates seasonally. Swimming in the refreshing lake is of course a favorite pastime for people of all ages – there’s no better way to cool off on a hot day! The park is 39 acres in size and has five shelters and a lodge that are available between May 31 and October 31.
If it’s too chilly to swim or you want some other activities to enjoy for the day, don’t worry! Ontario Beach Park has plenty to offer. Visitors can take partake in beach volleyball, baseball on the field, fishing, geocaching, pickleball (May-October), and peaceful walks along the sandy shore. The park is open from 7 am until 11 pm daily, and it should be noted that glass and pets are not permitted. Ontario Beach Park is truly a gem and provides visitors with an extraordinary way to experience one of the Great Lakes!
