The Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Area is located southwest of Honeoye Lake in upstate New York. This recreation area is managed by Stony Brook State Park and features nearly two dozen miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. There are picnic tables and grills nearby if you'd like to enjoy a picnic during your visit. They allow large game hunting in designated areas during the hunting season; please refer to their website for more information.
Overlook Road leads from the parking lot and offers a spectacular view of Honeoye Lake. On clear days, you can even see the city of Rochester and Lake Ontario to the north from this road. Overlook Road is open seasonally from May 1st through late October. The Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Area is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. If you love spending time in nature, head to this secluded recreation area.
