This 800-acre park has numerous fields, two golf courses, and many miles of stunning hiking trails along the Genesee River.
Genesee Valley Park is an 800-acre park that is intersected by Red Creek, the Genesee River, and the Erie Canal in Rochester, New York. These three waterways provide wonderful views along the hiking and biking trails that snake throughout the park. The scenic Genesee Valley Greenway, which is a 90-mile trail that runs adjacent to the Genesee River, also runs through this park. There is so much to do at Genesee Valley Park, so people of all ages and with all interests will be able to partake in their favorite activities here.
Aside from the many miles of picturesque trails, there are also baseball fields, soccer fields, a cricket pitch, a playground, and two 18-hole golf courses. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, picnics, geocaching, and ultimate frisbee, as well. There is no shortage of fun at Genesee Valley. Dogs are allowed at the park, but they must remain on a leash at all times.
