Visit this quaint outdoor shopping mall featuring a Colonial-style village setting.
In 1963, Martin Olson bought some land and planned to build a mall. The land was known then as Perkin's Farm. Martin Olson was told not to create a mall because the local population was insufficient to support the shops. Olson's twin son and daughter, Jerry and Joyce Olson decided to build a 1720 style Colonial Village including a Meeting House, inspired by a Peddlers Village located in the Pennsylvania area. Jerry and Joyce had a vision of the village, including a town green, a duck pond, birdhouses, and a gazebo. They also wanted walking paths, lots of trees, and unique buildings. The village has been open to the public since September 11, 1973. Over the last 50 years, the Olde Mistick Village has continued to grow. Visitors come from all over the world to shop and eat in the village.
The Olde Mistick Village is a fun place to eat and shop and is family and pet-friendly. Attractions at the Olde Mistick Village include the Mystic Aquarium, the Mystified Escape Rooms, Frankin's General Store, The Cloak and Wand shop, Mystic Luxury Cinema, Munson's Chocolates, and more. Some of the dining choices are Mango's Wood-Fired Pizza, the Steak Loft, and Go Fish. The Olde Mistick Village also offers live music and entertainment for visitors to enjoy.
