Cape Perpetua Scenic Area is the highest viewing point accessible by car on the Oregon Coast. This viewpoint stands 800 feet above the Pacific Ocean and provides a fantastic view at the top. From this vantage point, visitors can see the Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve as well as the rocky shore beneath them.
In this 2,700-acre scenic area, there are 26 miles of trails leading through lush rainforests. For over 6,000 years, people have been a part of this rainforest, and this is evident by the hints of village life found throughout the area. The Cape Perpetua Scenic Area is the perfect spot to take pictures and hike around. You could easily spend an entire afternoon here.
