See the natural twin rock formations that are perfectly photogenic.
There are two natural rock formations that are quite popular for both tourists and naturalist photographers. The first is called Face Rock. O. K. Kronenberg has written a piece about the legend of Face Rock, which is found on the Bandon, Oregon guide website. In summary, an evil spirit of the sea names Seatka enticed a princess of The Nah-So-Mah tribe. He tried to beckon her into the sea, but instead, her body turned to stone. The princess' face was turned upwards, and this event haunted the tribe. Over time, this tribe also turned to stone, according to legend.
The second rock formation doesn't have much of a backstory, but it is the Wizard’s Hat. Its mystifying existence pulls in travelers from all over, particularly at sunset. Both rock formations bring a sense of peace and tranquility to those visiting the Oregon coast. The beach and viewpoint are open year-round during the day. Nighttime permits can be requested if you want to take astrophotography here. However, visitors are only allowed to linger until 11 pm with a proper permit.
