Soak in views of three different states at the top of Camelback Mountain.
Big Pocono State Park is located in northeastern Pennsylvania, and this state park encompasses over 1,200 acres of land. A popular feature is the peak of Camelback Mountain, where visitors can see parts of New Jersey, New York, and eastern Pennsylvania. Near the summit of Camelback Mountain, guests can have a meal at the Summit House restaurant.
Other available recreational activities include skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing in the winter. There are also seven miles of interconnected hiking trails to explore, 3-miles of horseback riding trails, and three large picnic areas to enjoy during the summer. Please note that the park is not open from December to April (check their website for specific dates); however, the Camelback ski area remains open during the winter. Big Pocono State Park is open from sunrise to sunset. Add Big Pocono State Park to your itinerary if you're roaming through northeastern Pennsylvania.
